Abandoned Car

So our neighbor comes over about an hour ago and says "Did you know you have a car parked in your back driveway?" Normally, that wouldn't be something out of the ordinary. But, when the driver's side window is rolled completely down (it's raining/snowing today) in a Lexus you've never seen before, IN your back driveway, that's weird!!

After making sure my husband didn't know anything about it, I called the cops. You know what they said? "The Department of Licensing system is down. We can't run the plates to find out if it is stolen right now. Call back in about an hour and a half, two hours."

So, I got out my camera and took some pictures of the car.

The neighbors said they saw a blue sedan drive down the driveway, sit for a minute in the grass, then drive off. Then later they noticed the lexus sitting over in our driveway. Then, the blue sedan came back, got something out of the Lexus' trunk (maybe a backpack, they said), then drove off. The Lexus has a lipstick in the passenger seat, and a hairbrush and Teen Vogue on the floor behind the driver's seat. So I have another few minutes to wonder....

Was she kidnapped? Is she skipping school to go be with her boyfriend? Are they going to come back for the car? Is somebody in trouble right now?

UPDATE: STOLEN!

The car is stolen. The deputy will be here shortly. . . . . .
